So, I just got back from Jersey. I didn't enjoy seeing my grandmother in a state of declined health AND I didn't enjoy the fact that I had to stay contained in her little beach shack and not go anywhere. Oh well. I'm starting to get pissy about teachers that don't write reccomendation letters. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WRITE THE DAMN THING JUST TELL ME TO MY FACE SO THAT I CAN FIND SOMEBODY ELSE... Also, pre-calculus is painful.

Elizabethtown
Ha...that movie was in love with itself. I couldn't decide if Crowe was attemtping to produce a more philisophical approach at life (i.e. how life is intermingled with the bitter and the sweet) or if he was failing miserably at sappy romance flick. He ended up with a morbid plot and a nauseating, self-indulgent Bloom...Well, that's my take, anyhow.
Ciao

Re: Elizabethtown
lol... I think the plot would've been less convoluted if it were just about a grieving shoemaker and a bubbly stewardess on a road trip through the Appalachians. Then, it would've actually served as a tribute to Kentucky. C.C made it out to be a tribute to Kentucky, but it really wasn't. If he wasn't so intent on AFFECTING people, he could play all of his music, show all of his pretty locations, and fantasize about the perfect girlfriend, which is all he truly wanted to do anyway. I was sooo dissappointed in that movie. After Almost famous, I seriously thought Cameron Crowe could do no wrong, but I really think he was under the influence of Tom Cruise's crack on this one.
